Having just been writing about messages in bottles over the last few days, http://wp.me/p1ip9d-1xf, I was rather taken with this story from the Huffington Post today.
It reminded me, too, of a brilliant documentary on RTE Radio 1 some months back about a young woman, Breda O’Sullivan from Dingle in Co.Kerry, who began corresponding with an American Serviceman, Frank Hayostek, as a result of finding a message in a bottle washed up on a local beach.
The pair went on to meet, and the romantic in everyone wished for a happy outcome …..
