Sense of Place

Tramore has a new lingerie shop and I simply love the name:

Queen Street, Tramore, Co. Waterford

The Ladies’ Slip has been part of Tramore’s history for years and years and is one of the swimming places for changing and sunbathing.

It is part of the lore of the town at this point as men and women mix.

Here is how the Ladies’Slip was looking yesterday:

Ladies’ Slip, Tramore

I’m hoping that the new lingerie shop attracts lots of customers when our non-essential retail opens next Monday as Ireland takes yet another step out of the Lockdown that has been in place since the beginning of the year.

  1. I love the name of the store and the colors. There is something so interesting about the architecture of shops in the European countries I have been to, as well as some of the smaller towns in South Africa. The architecture of the older stores in small towns in the US can be intriguing but so many have abandoned the lovely areas of central town for the shopping strips on the edge. Ruffles my feathers. 🙂

  2. We all need a little pampering in our lives and a touch of silky elegance fits the bill…I like the name also…as it wasn’t too long ago these were unmentionables kept out of sight…ha

  3. Great name for that shop and what a gorgeous view! Through your posts, I’m thinking I’d love to visit Tramore some day. Best wishes for success in your long-awaited easing of restrictions!
