I often wonder how other bloggers arrive at what they will write about.
Do you have notebooks with ideas jotted down or just find inspiration hitting you whilst living life or maybe open a blank post and wait for what happens next?
I tend to feel possible posts trickling into my mind as I am doing other things and eventually sit down to write before I have forgotten what the idea was.
The original idea very often changes into something else like it has today because I am never sure how interested others would be in a random thought relating to something that may be very specific to me.

Perhaps those are the things people are interested in.
What are your blogging processes?
The blank page often just fills itself ๐
I suspect you are more organised that that a lot of the time, Sue.
Very rarely, Jean… always too many things I want to write and seldom enough time.
Let’s put it this way, you always come across as being very organized – not a winger. And that’s a compliment ๐
Thank you… but I do fly by the seat of my pants a lot ๐
Wish I had a few pairs of pants like those!
๐
Inspiration usually, anger or irritation sometimes, appreciation and joy. On occasion, a series on a topic requiring actual research. I like your ‘trickle’ theory. ๐
I love theories – and I know from following you that you share that passion.

What ever inspires me to write. Usually another’s blog or a creative idea or perhaps a picture that I’ve taken or something that I made..Or an unusual happening
Yes, I can certainly identify with the photo taken bit, Joni, and the unusual.
I am a reader of blogs, not a writer. I do love today’s picture though.
Ah thanks. You’ve probably realised by now that I have a special affinity with rainbows that goes back a long, long way.
At any point in time I will have interesting sentences I’ve heard saved in a draft, that sentence may or may not make it to the finished article.
Hi Brendan, good to hear from you. Hope all’s well.
You sound like your are pretty organised by my standards anyway.
I like to plan ahead, but I often find myself inspired by something I’ve seen or heard on the days I post.
Interesting how planning can go awry, isn’t it?
Indeed.
No process here, I just occasionally think, “That would make a good blog post.” I know proper bloggers ought to have a process.
Thing is: should bloggers have a ‘proper process,’ or would that make for borey boredom?
For years I posted a photo with title, and no comments. I posted because I liked the photo. Recently. I have added comments to explain the photo, since they are tending to be personal experiences. Anxious to get this pandemic behind us, with more opportunities to travel and get photos.
Aren’t we all!
I wonder will you continue adding the bit of commentary. I like it.
I think will continue with commentary. Thanks for your advice.
You’re more than welcome.
