Laughing Matters

Something that never fails to make me smile is hubby’s approach to stress-busting. In moments where others would be in a fever, like waiting to go to theatre for an operation, he can be heard trying to muffle belly laughs as he watches clips from Candid Camera. When, at home, it’s his full, uncontrolled, contagious laughter that makes me soak in the levity of it all.

Here are a few of my favourite laughter quotes:

#1. The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter. ( Mark Twain)

#2. Laughter is an instant vacation. (Milton Berle)

#3. The most wasted of all days is one without laughter. (E.E. Cummings)

#4. Just thinking of your laughter gives me courage. (Rosamund Lupton)

#5. At the height of laughter, the universe is flung into a kaleidoscope of new possibilities. ( Jean Houston)

  1. I once asked a question in the office, “Is it possible to die laughing?” An answer came from a corner, “I don’t think you’ll have that problem Roy,” which made me laugh.
