Lines, Lines and More Lines

Have you ever stopped to think about all the kinds of lines there are?

My favourites include:

Railway lines

Lines of poetry

Tramlines on tennis courts

Telephone lines

Slanty lines of a child’s writing

Rippled lines on the sand at low tide

Lined Stones

Have you any preferences when it comes to lines?

  1. Railway lines for sure, especially those that are gone. And the ruler-straight lines of Roman roads cutting through the landscape with no concessions to boundaries.
