Magnolias seem to come and go in a flurry of petals. They always have me wondering where to look – upwards as they reach for the sky with their big blooms or downwards where they leave a gentle carpet of velvety pink and white.
I hope you like this selection from precious Mount Congreve Gardens which are just a few miles out the road in Tramore.
Absolutely beautiful! And Nice images to end my day!
Magnificent tree when in bloom.
Isn’t it just! Almost too much to take in, I always feel.
Yes we have one that is about 40 ft wide and it is just majestic to see in the spring. I am going to try to take a picture of it this year. I always say that for the last ten years and I forget
Oh be sure to take a photo this year.
I’ll try if I remember
When is it due to bloom? I’ll remind you!
It is just getting out of bud at the moment. In a couple of days. When the sun is out I hopefully will get some pictures.
That’s such a lovely stage. Anticipation .
Yes
So glad you like them, Susie xx
These are beautiful pictures..I love the long road picture..the close up flowers remind me of hands at prayer…
That’s an interesting observation of the close up ones, Joni. I saw they as cuddling!!
Gorgeous, Jean.
Thanks Elen. x
Glorious 💞💔💓💝
It’s very special, Willow, particularly at this time of year.x
Lovely Jean, I love the petal-strewn path. If we have magnolias anywhere in my area, I haven’t seen them.
Andrea, the petal-strewn path is my favourite, I think.
We don’t have all that many magnolias around Tramore but I must say I stop and have a good look at each and every one of them when they are in bloom. I’ve thought about trying to grow one ~ maybe, maybe …
Gorgeous! And we’ve yet to see a single one bloom here…
Just think what you have lying in wait ….
Yes!!
