‘If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you dozens of times, you can’t just keep swanning around all day!”
Sounds very familiar!!!!
In being alone — apart from all of the others and their endless gossip and sameness — sometimes you discover something magical, different, special, and unique.
Yes, Tom, perfect.
Couldn’t agree more!
“Stop sulking, Irene, and get back to synchronized swimming practice. The Olympics are only 2 weeks away!”
Suz, the mere mention of Olympics is a a bit of a sore spot in Ireland right now due to arrests over ticket touting. Embarrassing in the extreme!
There’s always one who goes her own way, and she usually turns out to be the most interesting. or … Stop Bullying Now.
Ouch, you sure called me out on that one. 🙂
Good one, Suz.
It is definitely hard to acknowledge a micro-aggression–that is the thing about them–they tend to be invisible unless we are in the ‘aggressed upon’ group, and Sandy Penny, you are right. The sooner we see that even unintended consequences are nonetheless consequences, the sooner we can change.
Sorry about the Olympic thing–I have not watched it nor kept up, so no clue as to that reference, but somehow I thought “the filming for the Esther Williams movie” would not mean anything to anyone nowadays.
No need for apologies, Suz. You’re better not to know!
Great choices, Sandy. Thanks.

Unexpected!!!
“Just ignore her. She’ll get over it.”
They certainly seem to be doing a good job at that!!
Poor thing.
Yep!
Aodh, Fiachra and Con finally meet some swan friends but then that dratted bell starts ringing…
Love this, Patsy! Brings me right back to reading Irish legends to son, Harry, all those years ago. We both adored this one!
Just look at Swanella over there – she never joins in.
Brilliant! That name could catch on.
