Dear Mount Congreve,
It was sheer bliss to be able to spend three wonderful hours with you early on Saturday morning.
You looked different than I’d ever seen you before because it’s only mid-March and it was always much later when we first greeted each other all those other years that stretch back to my childhood.
You know how to bring total peace to my soul, catch my imagination with your dashing colours, remind me of the magic of woodland gardens with all that birdsong and the mingling of the seasons.
I know you will never again look like you did on Saturday so I’m posting a few photos just to remind us of the beauty we shared.
I’m so, so happy that you will be there for me, and everyone who loves nature, colour, creativity and peace, on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from now until the Autumn.

Yes, Willow, Mount Congreve has been part of my life since I was a kid and it is about as heavenly as you could ever imagine.

Great that this place is open once again Jean. I hope it’s well supported. Maybe in a week or two I’ll take a few shots of Howard Davis Park. I’m less of a nature admirer but the staff work tirelessly throughout the year to produce some stunning displays.
Hi Roy, yes it’s great to have Mount Congreve open again and now for 4 days a week, instead of just Thursdays. I think it will get great support, especially when word spreads.
I’d love to see some pics of Howard Davis Park. It’s gorgeous. Do they still have that little tea-room?
I’ll do a post with pics in a week or two. There is a tea room but run by a grumpy bloke so I’m not sure it does much custom 🙂

Absolutely! We’re so fortunate to have Mount Congreve. Sun’s up and it opens in 30 minutes so you know where I’m going!
